The Kindergarten teacher wanted a bed built for her daughter.  She had a man do some metal engravings and wanted me to build the head boards and food boards.  I accidentally discovered how to raise the grain in the wood when making this bed.

So here is the set I designed and built for our fall play: Cyrano de Bergerac  It was a lot of work but very rewarding when it was all done.

I took a Spanish teaching job over here in Colorado and they made me teach Drama as well.  So this is the set I built for our Christmas play.  Good thing I brought all my tools with me or my play would have been poor quality.  The kids did a good job and people enjoyed seeing it.  I got my start in carpentry as a worker in a scene shop in a  Theater in Jr. College and never thought I would be building sets again.

Tool Cabinet

I completed my tool cabinet.  It has locking doors and it is just as weather-proof as a house.  This was the first metal roof I installed.

J. J. helped me out on the framing.

I finished the paint job in two bedrooms of my house.  I also ripped out the bathroom floor again for the 3rd time.  This time I put down a nice porcelain tile.  I have always wanted to put tile in there.  My paint sprayer made quick work of painting everything.  The tedious part was the masking.

House Plan Started

Anybody who knows me can tell you that I have been modeling my dream house for the past few years now.  I have the 3-D model complete now and am in the process of drafting my house plan from this model.  I have only completed the main floor plan here as you see in the picture.  I still have the sections & details, elevations, framing plans, electrical plan, reflected ceiling plan, and cover page left to do before I will have a complete set of plans I can submit to the city for a plan review.
